On December 11th we organized in Bucharest a face-to-face discussion on the challenges and opportunities for retail in Romania with Sonia Nastase, Business Executive Officer for Romania of Nespresso (a division of Nestlé Group) and Vojtech Janiak, Managing Director and Board Member at Noriel Group, the largest retail toy business in Romania. An inspiring moment to exchange thoughts and ideas on changes in consumer behavior and the acceleration of digitization and digital sales.

On November 12th, 2019 we hosted in Warsaw a new ”Power Women Meeting” with three female leaders from the Polish business scene. We were delighted to welcome Iwona Olbrys, General Manager of pizza delivery chain Domino’s, Dorota Pomacho-Patkiewicz, Managing Director for Eastern Europe of Pandora jewelry brand and Olga Sobieraj, Board Advisor at Sales Overnight & Brand Overtime. A very inspiring moment for our guests to discuss topics centered on changes affecting the business in Poland – among them the rise in labor costs as well as consequences for companies of ongoing government social reforms.

On Wednesday this week we hosted in Prague a roundtable on the Czech labor market and were delighted to welcome Alena Patrovska, HR Director at Walmark consumer healthcare company, Ladislav Kucera, Managing Director for the Czech Republic and Romania at Hays recruitment company as well as Guillaume Chêne, former CEO of Makro retail chain for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. A very inspiring moment for our guests to discuss topics centered on the Czech labor market – among them the shortage of employees and the salary fever hitting numerous industries – as well as to confront their prognosis regarding the economic outlook for the country regularly described as one of the most flourishing economies in Europe.
