Group Legal Manager (e-mobility),
Prague/Zürich

Our client is a European leader in sustainable mobility solutions, specializing in advanced infrastructure for electric transportation. With operations across multiple European countries, it drives innovation in e-mobility and supports the transition to cleaner transport.

We are seeking a Group Legal Manager to oversee international negotiations and contracts, reporting to the Group Chief Financial Officer based in Switzerland. 

The ideal candidate is a legal professional based in the Czech Republic or Slovakia, with a willingness to travel frequently or potentially relocate to the company’s head office in Switzerland. 

The role

The Legal Manager ensures the organization operates within legal, regulatory, and internal controls frameworks. This dynamic role bridges legal and commercial responsibilities with compliance requirements, contributing to the company’s integrity and success. The role involves handling complex cross-border legal matters, collaborating with international colleagues and senior management to drive business growth. 

He/she will advise the management on all legal issues in close cooperation with business teams, drafting, reviewing and revising commercial sales contracts. 

Accountabilities 

  • Delivers legal support and guidance on commercial matters such as participation in tenders, contracts, corporate structures etc. 
  • Drafts and reviews legal contracts and tender documents. Interacts with various advisors or authorities in relation to tenders, commercial contracts, changes in the legal framework etc. 
  • Compliance Programs: Develop, implements, and monitors compliance programs to ensure adherence to legal standards and internal policies. 
  • Training: Conducts training sessions to educate employees about compliance matters and legal obligations. 
  • Policy Development: Drafts and enforces company policies to align with legal regulations. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works closely with various departments and other group entities to provide legal and compliance advice. 

Experience 

  • Education: legal or paralegal degree (master degree) or equivalent education, 
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial law, contract negotiations and compliance in an international law firm and/or as inhouse legal environment of an international company with a focus on commercial contracts, 
  • License to practice law in one or more European countries, 
  • Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills , 
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex legal and compliance regulations, 
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal issues and provide practical, solutions oriented advice, 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team, 
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload independently, 
  • Proactive, pragmatic and dynamic approach to legal practice, 
  • Certifications: relevant certifications in compliance or commercial law are advantageous, 
  • Fluent in German and English with excellent business communication skills. Other languages (such as French) would be beneficial, 
  • Familiarity with the energy environment (European laws, industry regulations) and renewable energies would be an advantage.

This role demands a senior professional with a combination of commercial law expertise, international negotiations experience, and the ability to operate in a true multicultural environment.
