The Client

Our client is based in Paris and represents one of the largest real estate developers in the Central and Eastern European region with property investments across the residential area, the commercial area and the hospitality sector.

The Mission

Our mission was to attract a Paris–based English speaking senior corporate lawyer with experience from the real estate sector in order to review, draft and negotiate lease agreements and conduct due diligence for property acquisitions. He or she would manage the external counsel in complex real estate matters and real estate related litigation. He/she would have transactional drafting and negotiation responsibilities on deals, and would provide ongoing legal counsel and contract interpretation to business team members on a day-to-day basis.

The Profile

The profile would offer significant real estate experience in a law firm and/or as an in-house attorney and demonstrate the ability to work in fast paced, high pressure and rapidly changing environments. He/she would offer excellent communication skills with the proven ability to convey legal advice clearly and effectively. The profile must have at least five years of experience with real estate transactions (leasing, finance, construction contracts and/or purchase and sale agreements) and possess strong analytical and writing skills.

The mission was fulfilled in about three months.
